As described by M.S. Rau Antiques

Antique Wedgwood white jasperware figure crafted in the shape of a sleeping boy, circa 1785. It is one of five models in a series produced by Wedgwood during the late 18th century. Beautifully designed out of solid white jasperware, this figure is a wonderful example of the classically inspired decorative forms for which the company was so renowned. Stamped “Wedgwood” on base.
