Artisans in the Bolivian state of Santa Cruz take inspiration from the natural shapes and patterns of the rosewood (morado), gathered from certified forests. Each of these organically shaped vessels is one-of-a-kind, meticulously crafted following traditional techniques introduced by Jesuit missionaries who established themselves in the region in the 16th century.
With a network of artisans around the world, L’Aviva Home creates globally inspired home accents that resonate with the spirit of time-honored creative traditions. From remote Bolivian villages to weathered workshops in Central Asia, these collaborations produce a bold collection of pieces that unveil their stories in texture and pattern. “The things we surround ourselves with should possess a soul and a history,” says founder Laura Aviva, a former creative director for Travel + Leisure. “They should inspire us to connect to the world.”
