Signed oil on board by Brazilian painter Ricardo de Ozias, circa 1980. This painter of landscapes and biblical scenes was known for his dramatic use of color and spontaneity. Listed in Dictionary of Brazil's Primitive Painters.

After years of travel, stints in architectural design, and a decade of compulsive collecting, James Eddy founded Colonial Arts as a cyber enterprise in 1998. Housed today in a historic brick-and-timber building in the San Francisco Design Center, the gallery focuses on high-quality Spanish Colonial and folk art from Spain and the Americas, sensational Continental furniture, tribal art, period silver, textiles, jewelry, and an impressive assortment of reference materials.
