Large early-20th-century Mexican coconut bank with animals, foliate motifs and several figures surrounded by deeply carved inscriptions. Inscribed: 'Un Recurdo, Viva Mexico.' Deep carving and high relief with good surface patina.

After years of travel, stints in architectural design, and a decade of compulsive collecting, James Eddy founded Colonial Arts as a cyber enterprise in 1998.
