Why We Love This

Jules Ferdinand Jacquemart was born in Paris in 1837 and became an etcher, illustrator, and watercolorist. He received his early training from his father, an amateur artist, botanical illustrator, and author. Jacquemart's earliest known work is an etching showing a selection of Chinese and Japanese artifacts, produced in 1859. His etchings reflect his skill in rendering reflections and conveying textures and colors. This is a pair of vintage reproductions of original watercolors of vases.
