A contemporary vision of seaside leisure, shot by Massimo Vitali. By gauging a certain distance from his subjects, Vitali creates a perspective that captures the beauty and patterns of the scene.
This offset print is an artist's proof, stamped and editioned.
Born in Como, Italy, in 1944, Massimo Vitali arrived on the art scene relatively late. After stints as a photojournalist and film cameraman, Vitali finally acquired international renown in the 1990s for his large-scale photographs of Italian beaches and other public spaces showing anonymous people during their leisure time. Vitali's works have been interpreted as a contemporary version of landscape paintings, reinterpreted through photography.

- Keep out of direct sunlight. Keep prints in a clean and well-ventilated area. When handling unframed prints, make sure hands are very clean or wear gloves. Prints should be stored flat, either in or out of mounts, layered between sheets of non-acidic interleaving tissue. Never allow print to touch the glass or acrylic sheeting of the frame: Both glass and acrylic sheeting (Perspex) condense moisture from the air; if print touches either, it may stick to surface and be ruined.
