Why We Love This

Charles Dormon Robinson (American, 1847-1933) studied under George Inness and Jasper Cropsey. A prolific plein air painter, Robinson followed in the tradition of the Hudson River School. Robinson's works are in the following museums: Crocker Museum; Oakland Museum; De Young Museum; Nevada Museum. Signed and dated "Dormon Robinson 1932 S.F." lower right. Provenance: Bohemian Club, SF CA. Displayed in its original Arts and Crafts wood frame.
