Why We Love This

A beautiful photograph from the artist's recent À la Plage, À la Piscine ("At the Beach, At the Pool") series. Each photograph in this series was shot from a door-less helicopter. In the photographer's words, "From above, a simple beach or pool becomes a blank canvas that allows me to start seeing the world as art. People and objects become patterns creating repetition, shape and form. Each geographic location has revealed that the love of water is a universal experience, an activity that offers people a sense of freedom and joy. These photographs are a visual celebration of color, light, shape -- and summer bliss." This oversized print is signed and editioned. Only a few of this edition are being offered.

About Gray Malin

A Dallas native, Gray Malin hunts the globe for the unusual beauty, capturing unforgettable images with his photographs. He often plays with perspective through height, helicoptering over the beaches of Brazil or sending balloons above the mystical plains of Joshua Tree National Park. The result is not only artistic, but also transporting, with images that provide a dose of travel and imagination. Gray's work has been displayed in the Dallas Museum of Art and has been published around the world in publications such as the London Observer.London Observer
