Flame is Emile Henry's newest innovation in ceramic technology. Designed to work on the barbeque, (gas, charcoal, natural wood or electric cooking), in the oven, and under the broiler at temperatures up to 750° F (400° C). The Emile Henry Chicken Roaster is designed to hold up to an 8lb chicken with room to put potatoes and vegetables around the chicken at the base to soak up the delicious juices.
Emile Henry cookware and tableware has been built to perform since 1850. Crafted in Marcigny, France, from the local Burgundian clay, the dishes are hand-dipped in a rich glaze that resists scratching. Many are based on designs from the French company's archives and have the look and feel of French country pottery from the late 19th century. The ovenware is not only strong enough to withstand the abrupt temperature changes of freezer-to-oven cooking but is also beautiful enough to join the dinner party.
