Why We Love This

1966 abstract figurative drawing by Puerto Rican artist Santos Rene Irizarry (1934-1997). Irizarry studied art at the University of Puerto Rico and in 1958 was selected by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture to study art at the National School of Plastic Arts Academy San Carlos, Mexico. Framed in a contemporary frame with black sides and silver-leaf face and etched non-glare glass. Hanging hardware on back. Signed by the artist lower right.
