As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion. New York: Farrar Straus Giroux, 1970. First printing. A very good copy of Didion's third book and dispassionate second novel, in which she describes the unraveling life of a certain type of affluent, narcissistic woman in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, at the end of the '60s. A fine copy in a dust jacket with slight wear to spine base. Hardcover.
