Why We Love This

This dynamic, kaleidoscopic work is full of imaginative colors and a sharp sense of design. The artist created this water-based painting by mixing softly contrasting colors with a sponge to achieve the effects of light. The blended photograph and painting was then printed on canvas.

About Parvez Taj

A visionary artist, Parvez Taj creates uniquely evocative works for the wall. Taj freely mixes media, including photography, software, and acrylics, to achieve his bold effects. He works with UV-cured inks and recycled wood, often reclaimed from rural buildings throughout the U.S., to minimize his impact on the environment. Taj was born in Canada and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. His works are entirely made in California.
