Why We Love This

A beautiful depiction by the artist Parvez Taj of the iconic mermaid, or "Ocean Nymph," of Positano, Italy. This image is printed with UV inks on reclaimed wood siding. Taj collected wood from older white barns across the United States and carefully matched each piece on which to print the work of art. Given the wood’s age and previous use, it is likely to have irregularities such as knots, stains, or an uneven surface. These imperfections add character and patina to this fine work of art. No piece will look the same, making them truly one of a kinds.

This work is hand-signed by the artist, with a bio on the back.

About Parvez Taj

A visionary artist, Parvez Taj creates uniquely evocative works for the wall. Taj freely mixes media, including photography, software, and acrylics, to achieve his bold effects. He works with UV-cured inks and recycled wood, often reclaimed from rural buildings throughout the U.S., to minimize his impact on the environment. Taj was born in Canada and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. His works are entirely made in California.
