Why We Love This

Named after the Persian word for needle, suzanis were traditionally made for a woman’s dowry. With their intricate patterns and fine detail, they can take up to two and a half years to complete. These vintage pieces are from Uzbekistan. Silk thread against a cotton background. Use as bedcovering, folded at the base of a bed, as a wall hanging, or draped over furniture.
