A print from the original photograph, presented here as a framed diptych. In the 1995 caption for this image, the photographer wrote: "An early morning surfer on 1.5- to 2-meter swells off Bell's Beach in Torquay, one of the best surf beaches along Victoria's southern coastline." Each section is presented in a gesso-and-wood frame that has been hand-finished and hand-painted in off-white by craftsmen using 17th-century Florentine techniques.
