Why We Love This

Abstract titled Beach at Nantasket by WPA artist Helen Sewell Rennie (1906-1989). Rennie was born in Cambridge, Maryland and educated at the prestigious Corcoran School, the National Academy of Design in New York and under Charles W. Hawthorne, founder of the Cape Cod School of Art. She was an integral part of the art community in the DC area. Displayed in a restored period wood frame with archival mat and etched non-glare glass and hanging hardware on verso. Signed lower left.
