Why We Love This

Rare wall cabin trunk, patent dated 1891 by Duguid Brothers. Recovered in heavy black canvas duck with black leather banding and brown distressed leather center accent, matching leather handles. Original fancy hardware, working Eagle lock w/key. Oak slats finished in tung oil, end wrapped in brass sheeting. Original "Duguid Bros Wall Trunk" label on inside upper lid. Lid opens upward so that trunk can stay flush against any wall. Also great as a coffee table, with plenty of storage inside!

About Randall Barbera

Randall Barbera combines high quality woodworking, ornamental upholstery, old world building technology and creative design embellishment in giving new life and fresh faces to antique trunks. Inspired by the likes of Goyard and Louis Vuitton, he finds weathered cases and redesigns them. Drawing on the grandiose style elements employed by the great trunk makers, he transforms them into new vintage pieces which now are being touted as “Designer Trunks”.
