A stunning image, with a mirroring effect that makes the scene into an abstract, symmetrical vision. The simple white wood frame sets this photograph off beautifully. It arrives ready to hang.

Born in Härnösand, Sweden, photographer Per Daniel Håkansson lives and works in Brooklyn. A graduate of the International Center of Photography, he has worked as a commercial photographer in New York since 2007. These works come from his series "I might be stupid but I’m not blind," inspired by philosopher Guy Debord’s Society of the Spectacle and also from “Mandala,” which refers to the Buddhist concept of impermanence. Håkansson’s latest work, “Enlightenment,” was shot in forests in upstate New York and Sweden.
