This is a fine art print of the original work by Jylian Gustlin. It comes from a small edition of 25 prints. The work is set in a wood frame and arrives ready to hang.
Growing up in Northern California, the artist Jylian Gustlin admired Bay Area Figurative School artists like Richard Diebenkorn and Wayne Thiebaud. In her own figure sketches, she blends a classical feel for drawing with creative shading and color. Before turning to art, Gustlin studied computer science and mathematics, and her work is often informed by concepts like Fibonacci mathematical theories, which relate to the make-up of shell spirals, the number of petals on flowers, and musical scales. At their core, her works are handmade: she paints and draws with materials like oil, charcoal, wax, gold leaf, and pastels to create her inspiring imagery.
