A striking and intriguing depiction of Ajax, a mythical Greek hero of the Trojan wars. This is an etching from the original plate drawn by Georges Braque, pulled circa 1975. Signed in the plate.

Regarded as one of the founders of Cubism, Braque was fascinated by the idea of “multiple perspectives.” His work is held in museums around the world and he remains a true giant of 20th-century art.

Established in 1955, MunnWorks is known for its superiorly crafted custom-made frames for fine art and mirrors. Its frames hang in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the de Young Museum in San Francisco, and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. The company's own holdings include many important works of art by masters of the 20th century, from Dalí to Matisse.
