Each piece may vary slightly, but because all hotel silver is designed for a uniform appearance, differences between pieces will be barely noticeable.
Why We Love This
This gleaming silver-plated salver is from fabled London hotel The Savoy, and it has the engraved logo to prove it. Manufactured post-1960, it has been refurbished after years of use to its former glory, with all dents and scratches removed.
In 2001, antiques enthusiast Howard White purchased the veritable Corbell Company, known for its 8,000 silver-plate, silver, and English sterling reproductions and antiques, which he turned into his own Corbell Silver Company. Today White combs through the best resources in Britain and the United States, hand-selecting perhaps one out of every hundred items he sees as worthy of his company’s imprimatur.
