When he finished addressing his audience at the White House News Photographers Association dinner, President Reagan said: 'I've been told this is all off the record and as the cameras are now off I've been waiting to do this for years'. This is a fine print of the original photograph. It is set in a gesso and wood frame which has been hand-finished by craftsmen using traditional 17th-century Florentine techniques. The frame is hand-painted in black.

When European designers need the perfect black-and-white photograph, they turn to the archives of the William Stafford Gallery. Based in London, the gallery sources evocative, memorable images from large and small collections across the globe. William Stafford is known for unearthing remarkable undiscovered works by the most important photographers. The combination of the finest paper and ink on each work guarantees perfect clarity for a minimum of 50 years.
