An offset lithograph, printed by Mourlet in vivid colors in 1971. This print is made after a design that Marc Chagall created for the Metropolitan Opera. Printed on heavy stock paper, with the centerfold as issued. This piece is framed.

Russian by birth, Marc Chagall was educated in St. Petersburg and Paris, eventually emigrating to France in 1923. His early influences were Russian expressionism and French cubism, but Chagall created a style that was unique to the 20th century. His mastery of color suffuses his paintings and prints as well as the stained glass work that he created for European cathedrals.
