A 1962 etching by Pablo Picasso, illustrating a scene from Aristophanes's play "Lysistrata," which was written in 400 B.C. Picasso used 40 pencil drawings and six etching plates for his series of illustrations. Each plate and drawing bears witness to his mastery of method and technique. This etching is framed.
