Why We Love This

Drip-glaze vase, with glaze pooling at its base. Bottom stamped. In 1878 Simon Fielding began development of the Railway Pottery, Stoke-On-Trent, England which eventually would become Crown Devon and flourish until 1982. Development of quality products established it as a leader and an intense rivalry in the 1930s with Carlton Ware resulted in a remarkable output of Art Deco designs, of which this vase is a product.
