Why We Love This

Lusterware is a type of pottery or porcelain with a metallic glaze that gives the effect of iridescence. In Czechoslovakia and Bohemia there was a strong production in the 1920s and '30s. Dating from that period is this blue double-handled vase and cream and tan basket. Each is bottom stamped with the Czech "dime stamp" and a product number (vase 25, basket 62).
