This limited-edition design covers the ancient capital of Rome, Italy, from the Piazza del Popolo to the Vatican, south to the Colosseum and Trastevere. Similar to the famed Nolli map of 1784, this is Haptic Lab's most complex and detailed project to date with unique attention to detail added to the old Medieval parts of the city. Each quilt is entirely hand-stitched and made in collaboration with fair-labor partners in India. Fits a full to king-sized bed.
Haptic Lab is a small design studio in Brooklyn, New York, known for their heirloom-quality quilted maps of cities and neighborhoods made in partnership with fair-labor partners in India, and handmade kites made in collaboration with Balinese artisans. The word haptic refers to the sense of touch, and everything they design is meant to inspire meaningful connections through that sense.
