Why We Love This

Madeline Originals of Pasadena, CA (1948-present) produced these two vases and bowl in the late 1950s. The design was influenced by the work of Sascha Brastoff and in some ways resemble his "Abstract" line. The bands of color were applied while the items revolved on a banding wheel followed by sponging color to create an overlay pattern. Large vase, 11.25"H x 4.5"Dia at its widest; low vase, 3.75"H x 4"Dia; bowl, 7"Dia. All three are bottom stamped "Madeline Originals."
