Balloon dancers, trained by Miss Ethel Hunt, found the hard sand an ideal place to practice to the music of the ocean breakers at Long Beach, CA on December 26th, 1932.

The gesso and wood frame is hand-finished by craftsmen using 17th century Florentine techniques. It is hand-painted in black.

When European designers need the perfect black-and-white photograph, they turn to the archives of the William Stafford Gallery. Based in London, the gallery sources evocative, memorable images from large and small collections across the globe. William Stafford is known for unearthing remarkable undiscovered works by the most important photographers. The combination of the finest paper and ink on each work guarantees perfect clarity for a minimum of 50 years.
