Green mercury glass goblet. Manufactured by Varnish of London, purchased from James II Gallery in NY. Victorian, circa 1860.
After the Army, a late-1950s European education, and a position as buyer and merchandise manager of china and glassware at Tiffany & Co. in NYC, Ron Schwarz moved to San Francisco, where we cofounded Ronald James, the most unusual china store in America. He went on to become head of interior design and furniture at the old Gumps on Post Street until it was sold. Today Ron designs furniture, carpets, china services, and custom dinnerware for private clients. Still collecting and always upgrading, hes on a perpetual search for the finest.
