As described by
The Flatiron: The New York Landmark and the Incomparable City that Arose With It by Alice Sparberg Alexiou. New York: St. Martin's Press, 2010. First Edition. 298 pages, with 41 black-and-white period illustrations in the text. A fine recounting of New York and its society at the beginning of the 20th century as well as a detailed history of this single iconic building. A very fine copy in boards and dust jacket.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
