As described by Hydrangea Hill

Summer Flowers by Margaret Fulton Spencer (1882-1966). Signed lower right. Heavy custom gilt frame. Spencer was one of the first female architects in the US, a graduate of Bryn Mawr, MIT, and the New York School of Design. She married artist Robert Fulton in 1914, took up painting in New Hope, PA, and was part of the Modernist movement there until 1931. She went on to live in Paris and moved to Arizona in 1930s.
