As described by Ilon Specht

Hand-painted burnished (brunido) vase with exotic bird and flower design. Brunido is pottery that has been hand-rubbed with pyrite or leather to marry the glaze to the clay. These feathered designs were made only for a short period of time in the 1930s and 1940s. Use with interior liner if filling with water.

About the Seller

Ilon Specht
Ilon Specht

When Ilon Specht was a creative director in NYC she alleviated the stress by collecting antiques. Constantly. "If it was beautiful, and I had a place for it, I bought it. And, if I didn't have a place for it, I bought it." Over the years, she used her finds to decorate. But, as much as she did, she couldn't decorate as fast as she could hunt and gather. So, in 2000, Hacienda was born, dedicated to the diversity of beauty. Run by Martin Sierra. And filled by Ilon.
