About Counterpane

Pauline Boyd is a Los Angeles-based textile artist and designer who creates primarily freestyle quilts. She is the founder of Counterpane, a line of home goods and quilted works. Each Counterpane quilt is one of a kind and crafted using a self-taught, folk-based improvisational style. Pauline builds each quilt from found and repurposed textiles, with an emphasis on handmade or handwoven piecework.
