“I am a hand builder--I rarely use a potter’s wheel,” says Bay Area artist Linda Fahey, whose work is a celebration of natural textures and influences. She has a penchant for combining the beauty and softness of porcelain with the semi-unfinished surface and style of naturally aged driftwood. “I make my pieces with slabs of clay and coils. My work is designed to emphasize its handmade quality--you can see the seams and how the pieces are constructed.” Linda is also a figurative sculptor and has shown her work annually the last 6 years at the California Conference for the Advancement of Clay Arts.
