Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon (1707-1788) was a French naturalist, whose works influenced the next two generations of naturalists. He published 35 volumes of his Histoire naturelle establishing him as the father of natural history in the second half of the 18th century. This is a fine art giclée reproduction of the original antique held in the Trowbridge Archives.

Trowbridge was founded in England in 1981 by Martin Trowbridge. The company is known for its superior reproduction fine art and antique prints, black-and-white photographs, textiles, and original works in handmade frames.
