Why We Love This

A French pottery gargoulette from Alsace Lorraine. Hand-turned terracotta fully glazed on the inside and out. The base color is brown with a flower-like design. Before the spouts were hand-applied, an aerator was inserted to add a strainer. The handle is hollow and has an air vent in the center. Used to decant and serve a homemade liqueur or wine, like a marc.

About Susie's Antiques & Stained Glass

I have a passion for fine china, pottery and glassware and love enjoying a meal on an antique plate. Finding a new life for something is in my blood. I used to wander through my grandmother's house and see how she reused things from her past--nothing went to waste. For more than 20 years I have been seeking, finding, using and passing on the treasures I discover and have made sharing those treasures a full time adventure.
