Why We Love This

A late 1970s lithograph printed on Arches paper in Paris utilizing traditional stone plates. Plate-signed and with embossed signature. This print has been custom-framed with MunnWorks archival materials. This embossed edition is pencil-numbered out of 375.
Russian by birth, Marc Chagall was educated in St. Petersburg and Paris, eventually emigrating to France in 1923. Although influenced early on by Russian Expressionism and French Cubism, Chagall created a style that was unique to the 20th century. His mastery of color suffuses his paintings and prints as well as the stained glass work that he created for European cathedrals.
