Why We Love This

The Arc de Triomphe, which stands on the Place Charles de Gaulle at the western end of the Champs Elysees in Paris. It was designed by Jean Chalgrin in 1806 and took 30 years to be completed. The gesso and wood frame is hand-finished by craftsmen using traditional 17th century Florentine techniques. This frame is hand-painted in black.
