About Ermie

Jennifer Parry Dodge, the designer of ERMIE textiles, was born and raised in Iowa. She attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts Printmaking in 1995. She now lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. ERMIE first began as a blog, then evolved into a small collection of clothing and home goods. The blog and the clothing line are named after her great aunt Ermie, who encouraged Jennifer in her creative endeavors. ERMIE textiles are made by hand in limited editions in Los Angeles. Her most recent collections are hand-dyed by the designer using natural indigo and synthetic dyes, or feature original surface designs digitally printed in the USA using water-based pigment inks on natural fiber textiles. ERMIE textiles are built to last, timeless and are to be enjoyed for seasons to come.
