Why We Love This

Formed in 1872 near Zanesville, Ohio, Sam Weller had a dream to build "the largest pottery in the world" and achieved that goal in 1906. Vase from the 1934-'39 Roba line. It features rolled fabric that forms a scroll handle. Blooming white nasturtium and a second stem still in bud. Moderately crazed and has a few production pinhole glaze pops. Faintly bottom incised "Weller" in script and marked with a "K" most likely the initial of the painter.
