Campion Platt founded his New York-based firm in 1990 and became widely known as a pioneer of boutique hotel design, though his studio now engages in a range of projects. Platt's style combines a clean and simple modern design vision with an embrace of color, beautifully crafted millwork, and a comprehensive approach that includes architecture, interior design, and furniture-making; he also develops lighting and textiles. Above all, Platt's work is bespoke: Every project, at multiple levels, is made to order. The luxurious interiors--all recent projects--showcased in this volume in more than 200 full-color illustrations are organized by themes such as "Open Spaces," "Apartment Living," and "Nature and Craft" and reveal 15 sumptuous homes that draw on historic, contemporary, and foreign--particularly Southeast Asian--sources of inspiration.
