A native of Brazil, acclaimed San Francisco-based interior designer Antonio Martins has an uncommonly global vision. He started his career in Switzerland, where he acquired an appreciation for European design. From Switzerland he moved to Venice to Frankfurt, then to Hong Kong in the early 1990s for 11 years, becoming immersed in Asian arts and cultures, from Chinese furniture to Shan sculpture from Thailand to Indonesian textiles.
