Why We Love This

"1959 serigraph on paper by Viennese-Southern Californian artist Dave Fox (1920-2011). Fox fled Vienna in 1939. He dedicated his life to perfecting his skills at drawing, painting, and ceramics, with a special emphasis in printmaking inspired by the ever-changing landscapes of Los Angeles and the California mountains to the Pacific ocean. His works are in the permanent collections of the Long Beach Museum of Art and the Carnegie Museum of Art. This piece is displayed in a restored period frame with a gold-leafed face using archival framing techniques."

About Lost Art Salon

For the past 11 years, artists Rob Delamater and Gaetan Caron’s Lost Art Salon has been a hub of inspiration and affordable period artwork ( called it “an obsessive collector’s stash of original 20th-century works”). Their fine-art collection includes thousands of original works from rediscovered and historically significant 20th-century and contemporary artists, with all framing done in-studio. In this mix: desirable pieces from their most collectible artists, including their own works.
