Why We Love This

"Mid-late-20th-century gouache on paper expressionist portrait by San Francisco artist Michael di Cosola (1929-2010). Di Cosola studied at the Chicago Art Institute before moving to the Bay Area to study at the California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland. He had a studio in North Beach during the height of the Renaissance and exhibited at many Bay Area art galleries. Displayed in a restored midcentury wood frame using black archival matting and etched non-glare glass."

About Lost Art Salon

For the past 11 years, artists Rob Delamater and Gaetan Caron’s Lost Art Salon has been a hub of inspiration and affordable period artwork ( called it “an obsessive collector’s stash of original 20th-century works”). Their fine-art collection includes thousands of original works from rediscovered and historically significant 20th-century and contemporary artists, with all framing done in-studio. In this mix: desirable pieces from their most collectible artists, including their own works.
