Lost Art Salon
"Early-to-mid-20th-century oil on canvas titled 'Sitting for Photographs' by important artist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a New York painter who worked in the Expressionist style. He was friends with Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz, who helped him receive an art grant that allowed him to live and work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Displayed in a restored midcentury floater frame."
