About Shabd Simon-Alexander

Shabd Simon-Alexander is an internationally renowned textile artist with a background in fine arts. Her clothing line, shabd, is made in New York, dyed by hand in her Brooklyn studio, and can be found in high-end boutiques and art museums around the world. Generally recognized as being the leading force behind reinvigorating hand-dyeing and bringing tie-dye to a new artistic level, she shares her knowledge in workshops and in her new book Tie-Dye: Dye it, Wear it, Share it. She lives in New York City.
