About the Brand

Originally a graphic illustrator, Thurston Hopkins's photography is both sensitive and creative. Hopkins joined the Royal Air Force Photographic Unit during World War II. After the war he freelanced for newspapers and magazines throughout Europe, exploring the new visual world offered by the small format camera. He worked with from 1950 to 1957. Hopkins received two British Press Picture of the Year awards for his reportage work while traveling on assignments in Africa, India, Australia and the Pacific.
