Nature-Printed British Ferns: Being Figures and Descriptions of the Species and Varieties of Ferns found in the United Kingdom, written by Thomas Moore, nature-printed by Henry Bradbury, and published by Bradbury and Evans in London in 1863. These beautiful prints were produced during the fern craze (1850-1890), dubbed "pteridomania" in Victorian England, using a process that began with pressing actual specimens in lead, then transferring the image by electrotype to a copper plate, and then printing and hand-coloring each one. This process allowed the reproduction of the finest details. Some plates are almost three-dimensional.
