Why We Love This

1971 oil painting by Illinois artist Arthur Ames (1906-1975), who with Jean Goodwin (his fiancee at the time) did the mosaic murals on the patio of the Newport Beach High School (1937). He was employed then by the Federal Art Project. Displayed in a contemporary matte black wood floater frame. Hanging hardware included. Signed verso.
